Episode 20: Learning Support for Neurodivergent individuals - A conversation with Sara Jane Walker of Learn. Develop. Suceed.

Working with a neurodivergent learner is one thing. Understanding how they learn is another — and that's where LDS starts. In this episode, I talk with Sara Jane Walker of Learn. Develop. Succeed. (LDS), an organisation that's spent 55 years building its entire model around brain-based and learning differences, rather than retrofitting a standard tutoring approach to fit. We get into what that actually looks like in practice: every learner gets a dedicated Case Manager working alongside their instructor, tracking real progress and producing learning reports families can actually see. We also talk about the parts of learning support that often get overlooked — executive functioning coaching and self-regulation coaching, alongside literacy and numeracy work — and how LDS's sliding scale fees mean none of this is out of reach because of income.
