The Neurodivergent Podcasts
Practical support for families navigating neurodivergence — made for the North Shore, free for everyone.
Welcome
If you're raising or supporting a neurodivergent child or young person, you'll know that the questions rarely stop — and the answers aren't always easy to find.
The Neurodivergent Podcasts is a free resource created for caregivers on the North Shore and across British Columbia. Each episode covers a topic that matters to real families — from understanding diagnoses and navigating school systems, to supporting emotional regulation and looking after yourself along the way.
No jargon. No lectures. Just practical, honest information from someone who works with neurodivergent young people and their families every day.
About Your Host
I'm Denise Mosawi — a counsellor and key worker specialising in neurodivergent children, youth, and the caregivers who support them. I created this podcast because I wanted to reach more families than I can see in a counselling room. Good information should be accessible to everyone.
A Note Before You Listen
The podcasts are designed to share helpful information and practical ideas — but they're not a substitute for professional advice. Every child and family is different, and what works for one may not work for another. Any organisations or resources mentioned are shared in good faith. I'd always encourage you to do your own research and find what feels right for your family. If you have specific concerns about your child, please reach out to a qualified professional who can support you directly.
